Review of Night of the Living Dead (1990) by Dan P — 18 Dec 2007
A perfect remake of the original masterpiece. This was directed by Tom Savini (special effects master and George A. Romero's good friend) and it honestly couldn't of been better. Obviously, I didn't want specific characters to die and what not, but it's gotta happen.
This remake follows the original to tee besides somethings that Romero wanted added in the original but couldn't because of various reasons. Also the somewhat re-worked screenplay is very well done and gives some truly tense moments.
The casting was also well done and the zombies were done well too, even better then "Day of the Dead" which already had near perfect looking ones. Like I said, it's a remake true to it's sources and couldn't have been done any better.
