Tom Savini's take on the Romero classic isn't bad but the original is still more memorable. Amping up the effects and changing things around a little, 1990's Night of the Living Dead doesnt break any new ground.
The intro in which Bill Moseley plays Johnny and gets to utter "They're coming to get you Barbra". Barbra winds up in a house with other survivors and you know the story. They tried making Barbra more of a heroine instead of the victim in shock of the original and it just doesnt add up.
Should be checked out for an example of a decent remake.
