Review of Night of the Lepus (1972) by Christina R — 09 Nov 2008

OK, so it's a movie about killer bunny rabbits. The premise of the movie is questionable and the special effects are laughable, but it manages to elevate itself from the C-movie horror pack with solid acting (by people you may have heard of!) and a screenplay that manages to stay tight until the end.

There's something strangely appealing about the ever-repeated, slow-motion shots of bunnies ambling through a miniature set. And if you think about it, "The Birds" was based on a premise not too far removed from this one .
