Review of Night of the Demons (1988) by Eduardo C — 15 Feb 2010
When will teenagers ever learn? A group of them get up to horny tomfoolery and shenanigans at a Halloween party at a local former funeral parlour. Unfortunately a demon is accidentally released and possesses a couple of partygoers and goes on a bloody rampage.
Although the pace of the film drags a little to start with. Once the Demons turn up its non-stop action. It manages to mix the right amount of horror, suspense and humour. And is ultimately it's entertaining.
The make-up is outstanding for a film of this measure. And the way it is shot is certainty creepy. Scream Queen Linnea Quigley is on fine form. She does a trick with a lipstick that has to been seen to be believed.
Amelia Kinkade also stands out and has an amazing dance scene. This also has one of the most bewildering endings I've ever seen.
