Review of Night of the Demons (1988) by Richard C — 15 Jun 2010
I absolutely loved this film when I was a kid my dad took me to see it. I remember it being one of the first films that really got me interested in makeup especially after learning they had used starburst for the demons teeth.
So I suppose that I have a sort of nostalgic connection to the film. But over the years I can see how flawed it is. But instead of condemning the film for those flaws I've learned to celebrate them.
I can fully appreciate the bad acting, cheesy dialogue and outrageous death scenes. because despite what you may ultimately think of the film you have to appreciate the fact that its wonderfully creative and has inspire so many horror films to date.
It's a cult classic deservedly so.
