Review of Night of the Dark Full Moon (1972) by Anthony C — 18 Oct 2009
A boring first hour leads to a fabulous final 20 minutes: a flashback and a great twist. The production value of the is so low it's hard to tell what's happening most of the time because it's hard to see or hear anything - this works in the film's favour during the flashback sequence as it lends a practically expressionist feel to it, primarily because it looks like it could've been shot in the 20s.
It's nice that the film is something a little bit different from other 70s horror movies, but it's irritating that all the women are utterly, utterly useless.
