Enjoyable and fun but the constant referencing of horror movies and pop culture does get a little tedious.
All the horror director names? Please. Try writing some lines for Steve Marshall's character that are ACTUALLY witty instead.
Still, Tom Atkins is all kinds of anti-hero awesome, and has some of the best lines in cinematic history, particularly when the busload of zombie fratboys gets to the sorority house ("The good news is your dates are here..."), so that makes up for any other script shortfalls.
I love the 50s sci-fi backstory that the movie opens with, and it's always cool to see Dick Miller in a movie.
