This movie has a lot going for it---it's an 80's teen comedy vs. 50's sci fi vs. horror/zombie schlock with that unattractive kid from European Vacation thrown in for good measure. This is by the same guy who did the Monster Squad, so you know the movie doesn't take itself too seriously.
Apparently the late Kyle Sweet did make up for this film, who happened to also be the wife of Stryper lead singer Michael Sweet. Therefore, "Stryper rules" is written on the bathroom wall and featured very prominently in one scene.
