Review of Night of the Comet (1984) by Rob C — 27 Feb 2010

Night of the Comet had an interesting concept, having a comet strike and turning everything alive into dust, or flesh-eating zombies; but, there was a lack of zombies when the characters started to encounter them.

It had a creepy atmosphere; like something was going to jump out and grab you, but, that's my complaint; nothing jumped out. Plus, the mall scene should have been left out of the film, it was completely unnecessary and provided the storyline with unwanted idiocy.

But, for what it's worth, Night of the Comet has originality, and that's more than I can say for the rest of the genre.
