Review of Night Must Fall (1937) by Hugo F — 07 Aug 2008
Robert Montgomery has a certain hypnotic quality for sure. I am a fan. His comedy is quite good. But he kills here. yuck yuck. He had a way of making everything he said seem very attractive. His character Danny, has a streak that is seductive and strong, before suddenly crumbling into a pitiful, boyish helplessness.
His many confusing personalities both submerge and resurface unexpectedly as he plays with the weaknesses and fears of his victims.
