Review of Night and the City (1950) by Jurgen H — 11 Feb 2008
A really interesting look at the London underground post WWII with some awesome blasted out urban locales and general sleeze everywhere. Virtually none of the characters are "likeable" in any way and they all meet some kind of horrible fate but things moved along briskly and you were never bored.
The hustling done by the main character was awesome as he turned on a dime at the slightest opening. Oh, and don't forget GREGORIUS!
