Review of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008) by Tim D — 08 Jun 2010
I can't complain too much, it was exactly what I was expecting. A decent teen rom-com with a good soundtrack. I liked it simply due to the fact that it was slightly twisted from the standard versions, and because of the pacing.
The whole "scavenger hunt" motif throughout made it much easier to take as there was always some moviement. The performances were fine, and I liked the direction. One thing I will complain about, though, is the title.
It had nothing, at all, to do with the movie. 100% a marketing ploy. It felt as if two words that would appeal to the demographic were pulled out of a hat and slapped up on some posters along with the character names.
STUPID.
