Review of Next Day Air (2009) by Vanessa J — 24 Sep 2009
Not a great film by any stretch, but itâ??s a decent comedy of errors crime flick centered on a bunch of dumb opportunists trying to make a buck after a box of cocaine is accidently delivered to the wrong apartment.
Nothing too off formula occurs but I did like the climax for one of the characters (â??Is it worth dying for?â??) and I really enjoyed seeing Family Mattersâ??s Darius McCrary playing the tough guy Man With No Name role.
Heck, most of the actors do a good job with the little theyâ??re given. Mos Def is fun as always. Donald Faison tries something a little different than his Scrubs shtick. And that dude playing Rhino is pretty darn scary.
Also, Benny Boom wins my silliest Directorâ??s Name of the Year Award (last year it went to Transporter 3â??s Oliver Megaton). VF.
