The snootier critics will hate this because at first glance it looks like some cheap gangster-movie impression marketed for young people, but it's far from that. The script was ingeniously written, the plot built up some heavy suspense.

The lighting, camerawork and general cinematogrophy of the movie made it look like a comedy feature, but the story was highly dramatic. The cast was awesome. The chemistry reached boiling points and you could tell the roles were well-designed.

Sure there was a stereotype here and there but like the saying goes, "it is what it is".
