Review of Next (2007) by Moksh J — 02 Dec 2009

This was a tough film to rate. It was on the verge of ok to horrible. It had a really stupid story line that lead to an ending that made you want to punch a hole through the TV. The movie was trying to base itself just for action.

But the action was just way over the top. Some of the scene were kind of cool to watch, I will admit. But that was not enough to save the film. The casting was so strange. Nicolas Cage plays a man with powers who falls for young and attractive, Jessica Biel.

When is Cage going to realize that he cannot fit this role anymore. He is not the hero. Back in the day he had some good films. He was pushing it with Ghost Rider, but it fit him. This film did not. Julianne Moore was suppose to be the strong and mean FBI agent, but she kept coming off as weal.

Then Jessica Biel did ok, but there really wasn't much to her part. The movie Next is like all other movies; just tweaked a bit.
