I don't know how this became one of Disney's most forgotten films because it's one of my all time favorites. As a kid I loved it and I had no idea what it was about. I watched it again recently and loved it and I could care less what it's about.

For a low budget musical the music and the choreography in this movie are fantastic. The acting is great. Even Bill Pullman, as flat of an actor as he is, does a great job in this movie. And Christian Bale as the lead singing and dancing as a teen, it's like foreshadowing to the great actor he's become.

This is up there on my all time favorites list, and it's easily my favorite musical ever.
