Three legendary directors, the short stories with the only thing in common - it takes place in New York.

The first story, directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Nick Nolte and Roseanna Arquette.

Was a little bit hard in the beginning to get convinced by Nick Nolte playing an avant-garde artist, but I think he managed it well. He has a rather complicated relationship with his "secretary" (Roseanna Arquette), who he is very much in love with but she isn't sure about her feelings for him. Very good directing by Scorsese, indeed! I give it 70/100 %.

The second story is directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and is about a "precious" 12-year old girl, who lives all alone at a luxurious hotel while her rich parent are traveling around the world. I didn't like this short at all. Found the little girl incredibly annoying and spoiled. Hated it! 30/100%.

The third and last part is directed by Woody Allen, and is starring Woody Allen and Mia Farrow.

Woody plays a man who has finally met a girl, Lisa (Mia Farrow), he really likes and intends to marry her. The only problem is that his jewish mother (who is a pain in the neck) terrorizes her son for wanting to marry a girl who isn't jewish and whatsmore has a child from an earlier marriage. Once when they all go to a magic show, the mother disappears in the magic box. After several days of looking after her they discover her gigantic face in the sky, nagging and telling everyonein New York about her no-good-son.

It made me smile a little bit, but was overly silly as Woody can be at times, you know? I give it 60/100%.

I'm not a great fan of movies that are containing of several stories that hasn't got a red thread if you know what I mean. This wasn't great, but still watchable, I think.
