Review of New York, New York (1977) by Ian R — 19 Jan 2009
First of all, this was WAY too long for what was going on. It needed a good 35 or so minutes trimmed (which I think the theatrical version was). Second of all, the "love" story was unbelievable if only due to the DeNiro character, who was impossible to like, what with being all finicky and irrational.
The colours and production design were great, but the story left something to be desired.
