Review of New York, I Love You (2008) by Tina C — 17 Mar 2010
It was okay. I heard that this was absolutely terrible, but it's not. It's just not great. For a movie about NYC, these stories were pretty vanilla. I mean, all the romances were heterosexual and most of the cast was white.
That doesn't sound like NYC to me. They were also trying too hard to make all of the segments look the same, which means that there couldn't be any experimental sections or any fantasy sections.
That took a lot of the fun out of it. Paris, Je T'aime was better.
