Review of New York, I Love You (2008) by Martin M — 30 May 2010
I saw this only because my two initial choices were sold out at the cinema, and this was the only other thing on at the time. So I went in knowing absolutely nothing, only assuming it had nothing to do with the LCD Soundsystem song of the same name.
This was OK, but I found it just making a bit too much effort to be romantic and a bit too whimsical. I know it's meant to be about intimate relationships - be it true love, sexual, life-long, transient, regained, or whatever - but I still felt it could have been something a little more.
If you know what you're getting yourself in for, you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. Don't see it uninformed.
