Anthology films are tough to pull off, and "New York, I Love You" mostly succeeds. The cast of celebrities makes you wonder why movies like this don't get a wider release and find larger audiences.
The segments with James Caan and Shia LaBeouf are standouts. (Yes, LaBeouf has some demonstrable talent, and it's put to good use in an unusual vignette.).
