Review of New York, I Love You (2008) by Haidee G — 15 Apr 2010
Incredible cast. This well acted montage of snippets from each life and each story that all take place in New York is a very interesting filmmaking choice. This is not so much an intertwining, as say Crash, but more like Love Actually with many more lives and a lot less 're-intrution'.
We as the audience are given a very small portion of people's meetings (of mostly love or sex) and then move on without much return to find out how their lives or situation is resolved. It is just a simple few days in the life of New York: too many stories to tell, not enough time.
Although, I did find it began to drag 3/4 of the way through.
