Review of New York, I Love You (2008) by Christina Y — 22 May 2010
Nowhere near as good as Paris, je t'aime. All but three or four stories are forgettable and it lacks the artistic vibe which made Paris, je t'aime so great. Most of the acting is average, but James Caan, Cloris Leachman, Eli Wallach,Julie Christie, and John Hurt are fantastic.
Hayden Christensen just cannot do a New York accent and in my opinion was the wrong choice for the part in the first story. I did like that all the stories were interconnected and it was neat to see the other characters from different stories pass each other.
My favorite was "Prom Night" by Brett Rattner.
