Review of New York Doll (2005) by Jack S — 12 Nov 2007
This is a well done documentary, I just picked it up on DVD and I really enjoyed it.
It's about Arthur "Killer" Kane, the bass player for the New York Dolls and his life post the Dolls.
There's some great old footage and some cool interviews with all kinds of folks like Morrissey(The Smiths), Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Mick Jones (The Clash), Bob Geldof (The Boomtown Rats) and also fellow New York Dolls David Johansen (Buster Poindexter) & Sylvain Sylvain. This is NOT what I expected and I was truly moved by this film. I highly recommend it.
