Review of New York Doll (2005) by William B — 29 Mar 2008
A great, ultimately sad, film about Arthur "Killer" Kane of the New York Dolls. Mostly shot in 2004 the documentary tells the story of Arthur's life as a librarian in the Mormon Library in LA - a far cry from his early 70s drugs and alcohol fueled existence as the bass player with the legendary New York Dolls.
Arthur fulfills his dream of playing one more time with the Dolls but the story has a sting in the tail....
