I totally get what Gary Marshall was doing here with this ensemble movie. And I liked it. All the stories could have been flushed out more and I liked some more than others. I could have seen a whole movie about Pfiefer and Efron's characters or Duhmal's characater.

But the other stories were good too. I liked seeing behind the scenes of the Ball Dropping ceremonies. For the most part it was happy Hollywood endings which I am a sucker for. Some of the writing, acting, casting and coupling choices could have been better.

But a nice feel good film for the holidays.
