Review of New Jack City (1991) by Spencer V — 18 Nov 2007
Definitely the Black Scarface. Borrows lots of concepts and ideas from Scarface. But it's a better movie than Scarface all around. Nino Brown is colder, far more brutal than Tony Montana. Ice-T is great as the smart street cop who vows to bring Nino down.
Still Wesley Snipes' best role, even after 16 years or so. A fine movie. Damn fine.
