I didn't "get it" for most of the movie. I rented it because I thought it might be a fantasy movie for children given the story line. I was wrong and my nine year old didn't "get it" either.
Oh well. I'm going to watch it again down the road and see if I can pick up nuances I missed the first time. It has a good cast with good acting especially from Ian McKellen.
