Review of Never Talk to Strangers (1995) by Karen N — 22 Jan 2008
A psychologist, Dr. Sarah Taylor (Rebecca De Morney) meets sexy stranger, Tony (Antonio Banderas) in the wine section of a local market. As things become increasingly hot and heavy between the two, Sarah begins to recieve threats from an unknown stalker. Who is stalking her and why? She begins to suspect everyone and cannot bring herself to trust those around her. Will she figure it out in time?
This is a decent little thriller, well acted and full of erotic sex. I found it suspenseful, but the ending just ruined it for me. The twist has been used so many times before and since this movie that I had it predicted as a possibility midway through the film. Plus, it didn't seem to add up to me, but whatever, it shocked some viewers so I guess it did it's job.
Overall, a decent watch, but nothing spectacular. It is probably best suited for Antonio fans who want to see his bare bum - otherwise it's forgettable.
