It seems Jason's had the upperhand on Freddy since at least 2003 when the the waterlogged brute walked triumphantly into the sunset clutching the nightmare pedo's head. Jason's reboot was better concieved as well as recieved and higher grossing.
His first seven films got a snazzy, double-dip worth DVD re-release, the first three bursting onto Blu-ray. More coming.
