Review of Never Say Never Again (1983) by Robert L — 07 Dec 2007
A jowly and badly-toupe'd Connery--then in his early 50s--yawns his way through a dull remake of "Thunderball" that contains quite possibly the worst scene EVER in a James Bond movie: a laughably rinky-dink video game "duel" against baddie Klaus Maria Brandauerthat looked cheap even in the era of "Defender" and "Missile Command".
Bad puns, bad score, bland direction from "The Empire Strikes Back"s Irvin Kirschner--oh well, at least it's a tad better than "Octopussy", released the same year...
