Review of Never Say Never Again (1983) by Grant N — 16 Jan 2008
Amazing. This is the reason all Bond stars since have had non-compete clauses in their contracts. This picture was put together by the same people who wrote Thunderball, and it features an almost identical plot.
The real clentcher here, however, is that, despite this not being an official Bond movie, it features Sean Connery in the bond role that he had not played since handing the reigns over to Roger Moore.
The legal fallout of this film was absolutely staggering: this is the reason why actors who've played Bond since the release of this film cannot appear in other movies while wearing tuxedos, as tuxedos are considered a Bond Hallmark.
