Review of Never Say Never Again (1983) by Matthew L — 22 Apr 2014
No worse then 'Diamonds Are Forever'. In 1983 Connery could still carry his own in an action sense and the role works well playing towards Connery's age. The stunts are largely enjoyable and for the most part believable, Basinger and Carrera are equally sexy in their respective roles.
On the whole its an enjoyable piece of cinema with solid direction from Kershner, hot after The Empire Strikes Back. There are worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon, Casino Royale springs to mind.
