Review of Never Let Me Go (2010) by Marcdoyle — 15 Sep 2010
As I was watching this movie, I keep thinking about The Island, a movie with a similar scientific premise, but handled in a much more interesting way. Yes, that was a sci-fi action flick, and this is a pure drama, but it seems like almost TOO much of the detail was left out of this movie.
And it maintained a slow emotional burn throughout. Almost a bit boring. Doesn't have the emotional wallop like I thought it would have. I was disappointed that Sally Hawkins had such little (though impactful) screen time.
