Reading the book, I felt it lacked revolt from the 3 characters, particularly as they realize that there is no point to their lives. Watching the movie, I still felt Kathy and Tommy should have murdered someone, but the storytelling left me more satisfied than in the book, which never happens.
The photography is gorgeous and the performances are understated but amazing.
