Review of Never Let Me Go (2010) by Neil R — 14 Dec 2011
Ishiguro is a genius and The Remains of the Day was a deeply affecting book and film. Never Let Me Go is touching and alienating at the same time. It seemed to wring tears from the eyes but leave the heart a little cold because of the bizarrely unchallenged ethical atrocity that undergirds the narrative's logic.
Also it should NOT be a 12 - some of the scenes are just a bit too fruity. :-s.
