The Remains of the Day author Kazuo Ishiguro penned the book from which this movie was developed, the screenplay the work of Alex 'The Beach' Garland. A kind of a British version of The Island this is the better movie of the two by far, the fascinating premise holding the viewer rapt for the entire running time.
