Review of Never Let Me Go (2010) by Billy M — 12 Jun 2012
Outstanding! The best film to come from Britain in years. It has the same dystopian power of 1984. Amazing performances by the main cast as the youngsters with a sad future. The supporting cast are outstanding as being aware and part of a horror yet somewhat sympathetic to those who suffer it.
It's a science fiction flick with no special effects, just amazing actors and great storytelling.
I could go on and on about this powerful film. It's disturbing but mark me; this film will change movies forever. It's the kind of film you can shoot on a prosumer camera like a Canon 5D and edit with Avid or Final Cut and shine. Filmakers all over the world are waking up to the democratization of power technology offers us and this film is the proof. It just blows me over with the power in it. It's all done by suggestion and good location shooting. I love this film.
