Review of Never Let Me Go (2010) by Mark O — 12 Apr 2013
Set in a fictional, dystopian England, "Never Let Me Go" is centered around Kathy, Ruth & Tommy who have learned at a very young age that their sole purpose is to become organ donors. Not sursprisingly, the lead characters get involved in a hopeless love triangle with no happy ending, as one by one they fulfill their destiny.
The mood throughout the movie is beautifully haunting, depressing and melancholic which was further enhanced by the slow pace, the excessive use of cold colors and the violin-driven score.
