All of the characters and actors in this movie are great,unfortunately the film goes by too quickly to give you a chance to really care about them. If "Never let me go" had about 30 more minutes of what was cut out from the book you would grow to care about the characters as much as you did in the book.
All in all, "Never let me go" is a good movie but a bad adaptation.
