Review of Never Let Me Go (2010) by ?Ivil? ? — 12 Jan 2013
Based off the Novel of the same name by Kazuo Ishiguro. Never Let Me Go follows the lives of three friends. Meeting at a mysterious school as kids Kathy (Carey Mulligan) Tommy (Andrew Garfield) and Ruth (Keira Knightley) form special friendships through love and jealousy.
The film follows their story of life and purpose with fear and heartache. Never Let Me Go isn't a film for everyone. The subject matter will frustrate people, and disturb others. It is a film that describes our own lives in many ways.
From the questioning of truth, to the choices of our destiny. Acting by Mulligan as Kathy is top notch. I really do feel her to be the next Audrey Hepburn. Andrew Garfield also delivers another fantastic performance as Tommy.
In Summary this is a very good film with a great cast. The deep themes of the film won't be able to reach all audiences.
