Review of Never Cry Wolf (1983) by Ray D — 20 Dec 2007
Disney movie directed by Carroll Ballard (Best known for The Black Stallion) and based on the Canadian book by Farley Mowat. It's about a young biologist who goes up to Alaska to study wolves in their natural habitat and learn more about them firsthand.
Deals honestly with both the wolves and the folk who hunt them. Melancholy might be the best word for it, but it's also oddly inspiring.
