Review of Never Cry Wolf (1983) by Ziad B — 23 Oct 2010
One of those films about the white man going to the wild and finding something more in life. However, it also tests the boundaries of these ideas and presents a picture of dualities. At first the pilot seems like a true adventurer, but later we see that he is not and the nerdy main character is the real deal.
Meanwhile the noble savage is set in opposition to his corrupt relative, who at fist is a portrayed as funny and wise. Combine this with great cinematography and you have an underrated film that needs a new audience.
