Review of Never Been Kissed (1999) by Amy M — 24 Jan 2010
Drew Barrymore played her role really well as 25 year-old Josie Gellar, a reporter for the Chicago Sun Times who goes undercover at the local high school to find out what makes teens click. Josie is all excited until her brother, Rob (David Arquette), brings her back down to Memory Lane and reminds her that she was a geek in high school and she must become popular to get herself a story.
This movie is funny, sad, and romantic and Barrymore makes us feel sympathy for poor Josie, as she is able to change from being happy and full of smiles to a bubbling, sobbing wreck with a snap of her fingers.
Never Been Kissed is a cute and funny chick flick to enjoy with friends.
