Review of Never Back Down (2008) by Robert D — 17 Nov 2009
For one of the few MMA driven movies out there, this film does it pretty well in the combat department, but fades when the main story line is progressing its emotional side. Never Back Down is strong movie of honor and determination.
The fight scenes were brilliantly choreographed, but the rest of the film felt like an OC themed adult-teen drama. Sean Faris isn't that strong of an actor, but makes it through the majority of the scenes because he has a solid serious character persona.
Overall a good decent movie to watch with friends when it hits TV, otherwise do not go out of your way to see it. I give "Never Back Down" a pass.
