Review of Never Back Down (2008) by Jim L — 12 Apr 2010
Never Back Down is not a masterpiece nor is it trash. The acting is a bit below par, the story is cliche and the script is almost horrible. However, the only reason I'm not giving this movie overly disastorous reviews is that once the movie is finished you are left with a feel-good type feeling that makes you want to, well, fight.
Also, the action scenes are quite enjoyable, especially the final fight, and there are some hot moments in the movie which catch your attention. All in all, this movie does what it is supposed to, a solid movie to waste an afternoon with.
Recommended, with reservations.
