Review of Network (1976) by Ryan O — 02 Aug 2010
Network is one of my all time favorite movies. I watched this one again recently, and I think my love for it has grown even more deeper. This is a masterpiece that features stellar storytelling and outstanding performances that still stand the test of time after 33 years. What's even more amazing, is that Network reflects a television industry that is prevalent in today in 2010. Was screenwriter, Paddy Chayafsky on to something when he wrote this film? Maybe or maybe not...but one thing is certain, television is a powerful medium and its big business....even more so today.
I promise, if you havent seen this film, you're in for a real treat. Peter Finch as Howard Beale is the voice of insanity and reason. Go on get out there, get mad as hell.....and dont take it anymore. You need to see this movie!
