Review of Network (1976) by J.b. R — 01 Jan 2012
Excellent film from Lumet with the center-piece being Chayevsky's famous script. The film is expertly realized but the self-righteous monologues and dialogues in the script make the film seem heavy-handed at times.
None-the-less, the performances are fantastic (particularly the great Bill Holden) and the film lives on due to its incredible relevance now, more than ever.
