Review of Network (1976) by Jenna G — 11 Aug 2013
It's pretty crazy how relevant this film is to this day; television is all about ratings over quality. The UBS audience loved Howard Beale shouting, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" And so did we.
One of the most memorable performances of all time. But it's not just Peter Finch. Everyone was outstanding, especially Faye Dunaway. I really enjoyed the dialogue between her & William Holden.
There's humor, drama, romance...Paddy Chayefsky's writing, Sidney Lumet's direction... it's everything you could want in a film.
