Review of Nerve (2016) by Dave R — 02 Aug 2016
Every once in a while I actually get to see a movie that going in I pretty much don't know anything about, and this time it was Nerve. Somehow I didn't see any previews and just saw that it was getting decent reviews so I took a shot.
I wanted to like this movie more then I think I did. I really liked the storyline, and I think it looks pretty dang cool and is shot well. However, when it comes down to it, the character depth is pretty dang shallow and the first half of the movie is much better then the second half.
Most of the time I was sitting there wondering where I had seen Emma Roberts before and remembered she was the homeless gal that went with the family in We're the Millers. I think teens will like the movie more then me.
I mean I kind of liked it, just didn't think overall it is that good of a movie.
